The Ingenuity Baby Base has a stiff foam liner that is comfortable, but not plushy. You can be wipe it easily with just a wet cloth or some multipurpose cleanser. The base is made of plastic that you can also clean easily with a multipurpose cleanser. 

One thing that some customers mention is that crumbs can get between the liner and the actual seat, but as long as you regularly pull it out to wipe it down, this shouldn’t be a problem.
